Wild, Crazy Hearts is a second chance story and is the 4th book in Melissa Foster's Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series. But it can be read as a stand alone.I enjoyed reading this book. I love couples who are so in love with each other like Brindle and Trace and without realising it.Brindle, a wild child, an untamed woman and her better (cowboy) half, Trace who can accept her and love her just the way she is. Also he takes care of her, protects her no matter what. Even if she wants to go to Paris alone, which he hates so much but of course lets her go because he always played by her rules. But this journey helps Brindle to sort out her thoughts and feelings, and also to grow up and realise what Trace means to her.Their ups and downs are not new to them as they have loved each other for so many years. Their relationship is very emotional and hot. They only seem to have problems in the communication department. And it does not help either that Brindle is scared of both losing Trace and telling him the truth. It just makes the situation worse.But we can rely on Melissa Foster, she delivers the HEA and this couple can finally find not just love and each other but also themselves.And a bonus to this book is that you can catch up with a lot of characters from the previous books.I can recommend this romantic and very passionate story.I am definitely looking forward to the next book of this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I am very sorry, but this is the first book by Melissa, that I absolutely couldn't get into. Brindle and Trace are way to childish and all that forced media stuff... That one big lie, that took ages to get straightend - just too much.

Wild, Crazy Hearts was the fourth book in the Braden’s & Montgomery’s: Pleasant Hill & Oak Falls series by Melissa Foster.Brindle Montgomery and Trace Jericho had been on again and off again with no strings attached since they were thirteen and fifteen respectively. They were now twenty eight and thirty and stuck in the same revolving cycle. Both were gorgeous, sexy, independent, loyal, funny and stubborn. To the outside world, they were two peas in a pod and perfect for each other.Wild, Crazy Hearts picked up where the last book left off and boy did it leave us with a hornets nest! No spoilers so no big reveals, but I’ll just say that I really liked the progression. It wasn’t the normal push and pull and I thought I might not like it since they had been together over a decade and still not committed - I mean really if you haven’t committed by now, how could it be sincere. But Foster built it with a creative perspective with numerous life lessons that kept me interested. I also enjoyed getting to know the real Trace. I’ve been waiting to see what was next for Brindle Montgomery and Trace Jericho and this book did not disappoint. It was hard at times to see the way these two were treating each other but it was a serious matter and emotions were all over the place. There was a time or two I wanted to have a chat with Trace. I’m glad that they finally had the discussion and Trace found out the truth and they both decided to take the next step and actually date. I loved everything about this book from the disagreements to the two of them making an effort and finally coming out the other side in a better place than they started. I really liked how Brindle’s parents were so supportive from the get go and how everyone rallied around them. When the hashtags came out, nothing could have been better for this couple and the turkey trot with the gender reveal, perfection! I am so glad that these two finally came together and I am so excited to see what comes next for them. There was a line in this book I thought was great, “It’s fate! You and Trace have annoyed the universe into taking steps beyond your control.” #TeamTrindle

Wild, Crazy Hearts is my favorite so far of the The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls series. This one is just so fantastic. I couldn't put it down. I love Brindle and Trace. The on and off relationship makes them even more interging. They just have such history and passion between them it is hard to contain. They are meant to be even if they never admitted it to themselves or each other in the past. Now that Brindle is back in town hold onto your seats. Fireworks, romance, family and so much more is what you get in this book. Watching Brindle and Trace come to the realization of what they have is so beautiful to watch. Melissa Foster has just this wonderful way with her words to keep you glued to the pages and make you feel like you are apart of her storys. I for one can't wait for more from this series. I love these familys so much and how other characters from other series are all tied in together. You can't go wrong when it comes to a Melissa Foster book.

I'll admit that I wasn't a huge fan of Brindle for the first few chapters of this book. I think its mainly because I know of women in real life who selfishly made the same decision that she did, giving little thought about how it would impact the lives of others. However, to Brindle's credit, she realizes the error of her ways and does everything in her power to correct her mistakes. Not only that, but Trace also admits that he has several flaws and acknowledges how those flaws also contributed to decline of their relationship, which results in them having one of the most raw and emotional discussions that I've ever read in a romance novel.Yes, I found Brindle (and Trace, to a lesser extent) frustrating, but I found the effort that they put into their relationship very realistic and I was glad that they found their way back to each other.

If you can get through the first part of the book, it does get better. Not one of my faves as I had expected it to be. The first half found me doing a lot of eye rolling and screaming "GROW UP!!!"I can't explain it - I love Foster and I love an unexpected pregnancy story, but this one did not resonate with me.
